McKinney Rough’s Halloween Wedding | Jen+Leo

Jen and Leo had a small backyard wedding ceremony in Austin and a big costume party in Bastrop this Halloween. The ceremony was held in Jen and Leo’s cute backyard complete with lawn chairs and pumpkins carved with “J<3L”. Leo’s brother became an officiant just so he could be the one to wed them and I think he did his job quite well :)
The Reception was held at Mckinney Roughs, about 30 minutes outside of Austin, it’s the perfect place for a reception if you enjoy nature. A lot of people came dressed up for Halloween so Ben & I decided to set up a photobooth for people go to so we could make sure to capture all the cool costumes. I will have to do more of these in the future! The wedding theme was ‘Dia de Los Muertos’, aka Day of the Dead- they had pictures of all their friends and family that had passed away shown as well as cupcakes with brightly colored skulls and flowers.
The Bourbon street band from Houston did an awesome job of getting people to dance, I hope to be working with them in the future. I also had a chance to do a same-day slideshow, after the ceremony I downloaded the images and selected 40 or so to put in a slideshow to show the people that weren’t at the ceremony at the reception.
Here are a few of my favorite photos as well as a slideshow with the recording of the vows.

The muted tones give this such a nice feel. Very modern and creative. Great work.
