We had an amazing 10 days in Scotland, visited more castles I could count on 2 hands, beautiful rolling hills, bagpipe players, and visited a couple former clients Jacqueline & Billy (I shot their Scottish themed wedding back in January, more photos of them coming soon). We tried haggis and a few of the local brews and lets just say I prefer Tex Mex and margaritas. After 1200 miles of Ben driving on the opposite side of the road mostly down single lane roads through the hills we made it back home… just in time to head out for a Mexico wedding on Thursday.
After taking photos of similar things side by side at some amazing places we decided to take photos of ourselves in these places, posing ourselves in a similar way we would pose our bride & grooms but in the some of the most extraordinary places posing really wasn’t that important. Enjoy some of my favorites below and some of Ben’s Scotland photos over on his site.

[...] Our adventure started in Glasgow as we tried to combat our jet-lag but quickly moved into the Highlands of Scotland. Beautiful rolling hills, hundreds of castles, and thousands of sheep awaited us just beyond the city walls. We rented a small European car and set out with nothing but our cameras and road map, creating our destiny as we explored the windy roads. Left… Left… I told myself…We tuned the radio to the BBC and immersed ourselves in the culture while secretly trying to master the Scottish accent… Along the way we saw wonderful monuments and even had a chance to play King & Queen at Balmoral Castle for an evening, but the the real beauty & adventure was hidden deep within the wilderness… just waiting to be discovered. This is the story of Ben & Caroline… world travelers! See more photos on Caroline’s Blog [...]
