I placed 15th overall for the most recent ISPWP contest, I was one of six that ranked from the U.S. and one of our friends placed 1st! My photos below are definitely not the only ones worth checking out, you can see the rest of the results here.

I received 9th place OVERALL in the most recent ISPWP contest with 6 winning images. I was right behind amazing photographers like Dave Getzschman who placed #1 in the world for the Wedding Photojournalist association in 2010, the amazing Erik Clausen of Poser Images, & Del Sol Photography (who I’ve been swooning over for months!) – I am honored to be placed next to these amazing photographers.

Photo Featured in BRIDES magazine

In December the photo editor of BRIDES magazine asked to use my photo for an article on reception venues for their upcoming March 2011 issue and of course I allowed them to do so! This award winning image was shot for Mr. Ben Godkin at Ginger & James’ wedding at Texas Federation of Women’s Club Mansion.

I recently noticed that over the years I have developed a decent collection of photos of myself on the job. Enjoy my goofy positions as I shoot from all angles and the funny faces I make while testing lighting for portraits or exits. Thanks to all my wonderful 2nd shooters for taking these ;)

This groomsmen was just particularly tall, I’m not THAT short ;)

On Wednesday a beautiful bride transitioned from this earth.
Today I received the sweetest message from her sister, the very last line read :

“It is your pictures that will stick in my head forever.”

Their family has forever touched me and I thank them for that.

Anything look different around here?
Thanks to Nubby Twiglet my branding is finally complete! Instead of just taking photos of the new swagger Ben & I made a video to show of some of the new (and some of the old) products I will be including in my 2011 packages. To accompany my new letterpress business cards by Studio on Fire, I have information packets for consults, post-booking guides, and albums. To see everything new feel free to watch the video below!
